The Rookie: Justin Evans
Justin Evans was selected in the second round by the Bucs in hopes that he could give stability at the safety position. However, he could find himself in a starting spot sooner than anyone expected. Evans is viewed more as a long-term solution but he has the potential to step in right away.

Evans, if you remember his Instant Analysis is a sure-fire tackler with excellent ball skills. Do not sleep on his hitting ability either, as Evans is known to dish out some big hits as well. Evans would be a natural fit alongside Tandy. Evans’ ability to tackle as well as cover will give Tandy the freedom to play wherever Tandy fits best.
With the good, there is, of course, some bad. Evans is not perfect and while that is an obvious statement, it is important to know his weaknesses. Evans, while a good tackler, can miss tackles from time to time. Some of that could be attributed to Evans’ smaller frame. Evans weighs in under 200 pounds, which could end up being a concern. While these issues are not pressing, they are issues that Evans must improve upon.
